The challenge

Brazil's logistic industry heavily relies on the work of lumpers for the loading of cargo. Yet, the majority of lumpers are informal workers suffering from long waiting times for their next task, missing safety at work, and low bargaining power for their rates.

The innovation

Meu Chapa provides a digital platform to connect companies with demand for truck loading and unloading tasks with verified lumpers, providing a safe environment to negotiate task prices and logistics details.

The impact

To date, more than 8,000 lumpers benefit from access to improved task management. 93% of active lumpers increased their income and all tasks performed complied with set safety standards.
