IKEA Foundation and Yunus Social Business’ 6-months joint research project aims to get to the bottom of exactly this question. YSB surveyed 210 social-business entrepreneurs and conducted 40 interviews with peer impact-investors, accelerators, incubators and other ecosystem-builders.
Our Enterprise Support Landscape Study series shares the key findings and proposes solutions to address some of the major holes in the social-business ecosystems. The data reveals gender and race gaps, the uneven impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on social businesses and the mismatch in expectations between social-business entrepreneurs and organisations that aim to work in service of them.
