Yunus Social Business - Global Initiatives (YSB), based in Berlin, is looking for a Partnerships Manager (m/f/d), starting as soon as possible.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for an annual multi-million fundraising goal. You will report to the Global Director Partnerships & Investor Relations. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Managing the whole lifecycle for major donors & investors (public and private foundations, development agencies, multilateral donor organizations, impact investing funds) from lead generation, proposal design, contract negotiation to financial and impact reporting

  • Cultivate and grow a network of long-term major donors & investors with a focus on funders in the EU, UK and US

  • Design strong proposals responding to funders requirements, including value proposition, deliverables, detailed budgets, impact projections, monitoring frameworks and implementation plans

  • Closely align with global management team and local country teams on strategic fundraising needs, lead creation, proposal development, project implementation and reporting requirements

  • Gain deep understanding of YSB’s financing operations and portfolio companies

  • Attend and present at international conferences (Skoll World Forum, ANDE Annual Conference …)

  • Support planning of and attend partner trips in YSB’s countries of operation

  • Stay ahead of trends in the impact investing sector, international development and social enterprise

  • Maintenance of donor & investor management tool/ CRM tool

Your Background, Experience & Skills

  • Minimum three years experience in any of the following fields:

    • Fundraising for large foundation, impact fund or non-profits

    • Business development in the private sector (preferably B2B)

    • Professional services, e.g. management consulting, private banking or family office

  • A university degree in economics, business administration, international development, or related fields

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively deliver complex, technical ideas in a compelling form (strong writing and presentation skills)

  • Objectives-driven and rigorous follow-through

  • Passion for social business and the ventures we invest in

  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation is a plus

  • Fluency in written and oral English; German an advantage

  • Flexibility to travel internationally
